Pittenweem Arts Festival Invitation

YOU ARE INVITED TO MY VENUE AT THE PITTENWEEM ARTS FESTIVAL!

Hello everyone it's that time of year again where the little  East Neuk, village in Fife called Pittenweem opens up and is filled with artist and visitors!

I have been exhibiting and grew up here since the age of fifteen and it was one of my platforms which gave me the chance to show my art to the public for the first time.

My first show was a sell out which was wonderfully overwhelming and encouraging. I am lucky enough to say I now am a full time artist and adore what I do. Every year, without fail I return to my home village for this show in particular and love seeing all the familiar and new faces.

I have my incredible, growing customers to thanks for the amazing support from the very beginning for giving me the confidence to pursue my creative career.

Cant wait to see you there!!

5* Commission from The Three Chimneys

The world renowned restaurant and accommodation The Three Chimneys on the Idyllic Isle of Skye commissioned all aspects of my collection of cushions, fabric, lighting and art. This was through the wonderful interior designer Joelle Reid who I work often with and always very much enjoy the process. This was a huge boost seeing as my textiles collection was brand new. Take a look at it now. I would definitely recommend a visit!

The owners wrote lovely words on the work we did. See at the end of the blog post.

“I was inspired by the ingenious way in which artist Hatti Pattisson has created her hand-finished fabrics by printing her original paintings.  These are beautiful, particularly the ones which reflect the Scottish coastline.  I went to visit her studio in December 2013, when we were planning the new interior design for our 5-star accommodation in The House Over-By at The Three Chimneys in the Isle of Skye. Seeing the work first-hand made me all the more determined that the fabrics, cushions and lampshades must become a special feature of our refit.  I was introduced to Hatti by Joelle Reid, our Interior Designer.  Both Joelle and Hatti studied textile design and have worked together on this range.  Joelle was just as keen as I was to use Hatti’s superb work.  Seeing the new curtains, cushions and lampshade in situ is stunning.  Together with the new furnishings, fittings and colour schemes, they have helped to create a calm, restful environment, perfect for our guests. We also made a focal point of the original, hand-finished print of the painting which was used to create the fabric for The House Over-By in our Lounge area.  It is so perfect, it could have been painted at Colbost!  I love Hatti’s work and it has been so enjoyable working with two young, Scottish, enthusiastic designers of such great talent.”

In Bloom coat by Judy R Clark in Malta.

Here it is the In Bloom coat by the wonderful award winning, Scottish fashion designer Judy R Clark.  As you can see the colourful, artwork fabric on the back is mine taken from an original painting. It's been a lot of fun and we have had a wonderful response. With orders coming through the studio door we couldn't be happier with our first collaboration.

Here it is at Malta Fashion Week after strutting from the red carpeted catwalk.

The Collection

Afternoon everyone. The sun is shining here in Edinburgh. I can hear the near by lawn mowers and the smell of freshly cut grass is swaying the the air....heaven. I was happy to skip home after a busy day our pop up venue to have supper on the patio with my boy and our two crazy cats.

Here is a pic of some of the collection. We were in the pop up venue Wednesday afternoon arranging the collection for trunk show at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. We met some wonderful individuals form all over the world in an intimate, elegant room at one of Scotland's luxury hotels. A very friendly Australian from Sydney fell in love with our brand new line of smaller lampshades with the painting fabric on the outside and a champagne inner which gives a soft glow. She chose this one , 'In Bloom'. Hope you like it. It, amongst3 other designs in the same size will soon be featured for sale in our SHOP!

So here it is, 'In Bloom', colourful, detailed and textured in appearance.
Hope you are all having a good end to the week wherever you are in the world.
